About us
More than 25 years experience in IT field. UAB STEKAS was founded in 1991 in Vilnius.
Main activities: accounting and business management software development, distribution, installation, individual software maintenance (consulting, software updating, customer needs analysis and new solutions), organization of training courses with STEKAS software.
Additional activities: support to educational institutions (STEKAS software products, training), ”Stekas-Rivilė” basketball team.
Our clients – companies and organizations in service, trade, industrial sector. Companies work with the software of integrated wages and personnel accounting, bookkeeping, student accounting etc.
The aim of our activity is to ensure that business executives and employees will have access to convenient accounting and business management software, and the company’s operation will become more effective.
Our history
2017
STEKAS is recognized internationally as a stable company (certificate CrefoCertSTABLE silver, UAB “Creditreform Lietuva”). Less than 1.2 percent of enterprises in Lithuania have such high stability parameters.
2016
Intensive development of Lithuanian Web CRM system with fully integrated bookkeeping – STEKAS PLIUS CRM.
It will operate on the basis of the STEKAS PLIUS software database.
2015
STEKAS is recognized as one of the most successful, fastest growing Lithuanian companies (certificate “Gazelė 2015”).
For educational purposes, educational institutions are provided with the latest versions of software, maintenance and training services.
2014
STEKAS is recognized as a company with a high solvency rating (certificate Strongest in Lithuania in 2014, “Creditinfo Lietuva”).
Software STEKAS WEB SERVISAS is designed to realize data exchange between the external business management system (CRM, HRM, etc.) and accounting and business management software STEKAS PLIUS.
2011
STEKAS management system is assessed in accordance with the requirements of the management system ISO 9001: 2008/LST EN ISO 9001: 2008.
Student finance accounting software in Web environment STEKAS STUDENTS has been created and successfully implemented in the Lithuanian higher education institutions.
2010
VSAFAS version of STEKO APSKAITA software has been developed.
STEKO ALGA is being launched (wages, working time, personnel accounting, vacation). Software is used by over 1,000 different types of organizations (service, marketing, industrial).
“Customer Relationship Management” (CRM) module is being developed.
2008
STEKAS PLIUS, a new generation software of accounting and business management has been created, which implements business accounting at a detailed level using a relational database.
2007
“Remote Computer Management System” has been created and widely used for customer service (now – NUTOLĘS KLIENTAS). It won the title of Best Lithuanian ITTE product in 2007 in the category of Software and Hardware in INFOBALT competition of Best Lithuanian ITTE product.
Vacation Accounting module has been created and distributed (2006).
2001
STEKAS received the letter of gratitude from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Monkevičius for the significant support to Lithuanian educational institutions in preparation of young Lithuanian entrepreneurs and accounting specialists.
1998
Windows environment: software STEKO APSKAITA and DARBO UŽMOKESČIO APSKAITA is being launched.
Software Personnel, working time accounting and a simplified Vacation accounting module have been implemented since 1996.
Educational institutions. Since 1998, STEKAS has been supporting Lithuanian educational institutions: it provides students with free training products of the company; over 150 teachers have been trained to work with software; holds national student competitions; participates in the development and teaching of training methodologies and subject programs.
STEKAS becomes a member of the INFOBALT Association of Lithuanian Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Office Equipment Enterprises.
1991
UAB STEKAS starts its activity. After restoration of the independence of Lithuania, creative and young IT specialists established our company. The main areas of activity were financial and management accounting software development, installation, maintenance, trade in computer hardware and peripheral equipment, training services.
The nature of the company’s activity remained unchanged over a quarter of a century.
